What happens inside the Ladle Refining Furnace?

1. Steel is Desulphurised and Dephosphorised in the LRF [ERF + ELdFOS™] to meet the stringent S & P requirement of FE 500 D grade of TMT bars.

2. The metal is also homogenised, alloying elements are added and controlled in a very narrow range.

3. Dissolved gases in the steel are lowered through mild purging of inert gases.

4. Inclusions are removed or altered chemically to ensure high quality of steel.
