Using 100% iron ore
To produce TMT bars, we solely use iron ore through a combination of Blast Furnace, Sponge Iron Kilns, Induction Melting Furnace and Ladle Refining Furnace. This ensures that our TMT bars are free from impurities such as carbon, sulphur or phosphorus in compliance with BIS norms.
- Advanced Thermex Quenching
We apply advanced thermex quenching to our TMT bars resulting in bars with a tough outer surface and a soft core, providing great pliability.
- High Purity
Our TMT steel bars rate high on purity as the steel billets used in production have a much lower carbon content, making the bars anti-corrosive and fire resistant.
Thus, it is a combination of processes such as atomised quenching, self-tempering and atmospheric cooling which results in ET-TMT’s steel bars having superior mechanical strength evidenced in its excellent ductility, weldability and bendability.
